St. John Theatre holding auditions RESERVE – Auditions for St. John Theatre’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” will take place April 23 beginning at 7 p.m. at the theatre, located at 115 W. Fourth St. in Reserve. All parts will be open for auditions. Anyone interested in a singing part should prepare a song and bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Dancers and chorus members are advised to wear comfortable clothing for dancing. Several non-speaking parts will also be available. Children 8 and older are welcome to audition. This year’s show will be directed by Chip Stelz, an accomplished director who directed last year’s summer production of “Oliver” and other productions throughout the New Orleans area. He has also conducted acting workshops during the last two years at Rivertown Repertory. Sterling Snowdy will be musical director, and Gloria Fallo will be vocal director. “Cinderella” will be presented July 20-22 and July 25-28 at the theatre. St. Peter School will hold its annual baby and toddler contest April 22 in the school’s auditorium beginning at 10:30 a.m. Age groups for girls and boys will range from 5 months to 5 years old. The dress code will be Sunday best. Entry fee is $25 per contestant, and sibling discount fees are $45 for two children from the same family and $65 for three children from the same family. Fees should be made payable to St. Peter School and mailed to St. Peter School – baby contest, 188 W. Seventh St., Reserve, LA 70084. The deadline to enter is April 20.
