ARMSTRONG RIVER RIDGE – Mose “Lloyd” Armstrong, 73, a native of Chaneyville and resident of Boutte, died Dec. 6. He was the husband of Archbishop LillyTurner Armstrong and father of Dareal McCray, Deborah Hall, Rnyshah Jhordeon and Lloyd and Karl Armstrong. He was also the son of the late Louise Johnson Baker and Mike Armstrong and brother of Carrie Young, Minerva Moore, Mary Baker, Louise Shepherd, Ross, Joe, Jerry and Clarence Baker and Baker Wilson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were Dec. 11 in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home, River Ridge,with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Boutte. BECNEL SOUTH VACHERIE – Clifford J. Becnel Jr., 68, a native and resident ofVacherie, died Dec. 10. He was the husband of Irma Cortez Becnel and fatherof Kenneth and Karl Becnel. He was also the son of the late Clifford Sr. and Henrietta S. Becnel andbrother of Marie Steib and the late Carol and Steven Becnel. He is also survived by four grandchildren. Services were Dec. 12 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, South Vacherie,with interment at the church cemetery. BOURG KENNER – Jane “Mama Jane” Bourg, 69, a native of Baltimore and resident of Hahnville for 25 years, died Dec. 7. She was the mother of Sharon “Sally”Boudreaux, Lynn Bernard, Maria Cambre, Norman Cambre, David Harrison and Melvin “Buddy” Bourg. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held Dec. 11 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen & SonFuneral Home, Kenner. BROCK MARRERO – William J. Brock, 79, a native of Vacherie and resident of Gretnafor 33 years, died Dec. 10. He was the husband of Sylvia Borne Brock andfather of Stephanie Erbesti. He was also the son of the late Charles and Edna Hebert Brock and brother of Edianne Landry, Denise Chapaton and the late Adles Benoit, Ediasse Bourg and Everiste, Louis and Charles Brock. He is also survived by two grandchildren. Services were Dec. 12 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Marrero, withinterment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Chackbay. CAMPBELL LUTCHER – Joseph Campbell, 82, a native of Mt. Airy and resident of NewOrleans, died Dec. 7. He was the husband of Addie Banks Campbell and fatherof Velma Ellis, Iris Lee, Daisy, Grace, Royal and Joseph Campbell Jr., JosephHenderson and the late Lula Campbell. He was also the son of the late Parker and Cecile Fulton Campbell and brother of Stella Hall, Clara Barker, Lucy Kennard, Velma Davis and Cecil Belview. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services were Dec. 11 at King David Baptist Church, Lutcher, with intermentat Golden Wreath Cemetery, Lutcher. GAUDIN PAULINA – Wilbert Paul Gaudin Jr., 82, a native and resident of Lutcher, diedDec. 10. He was the husband of Ruth Foreman Gaudin and father of CarlaGilley, David, Jeffrey and W. Paul Gaudin and the late Paul Heagy.He was also the son of the late Melvin Sr. and Leoncia Kern Gaudin andbrother of Gertie Louviere, Flora Rivette and Elbert, Herman, Melvin Jr. andEdwin Gaudin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by onegrandchild. Services were Dec. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with intermentat the church mausoleum. LAICHE LAPLACE – Imelda Kugler Laiche, 89, a native of Norco and resident of LaPlace for 64 years, died Dec. 8. She was the wife of the late WarrenLaiche Sr., and mother of Mary Bickford and Warren Laiche Jr.She was also the sister of Laura Theral and the late Rosalie Laiche and Fritz and Irving Kugler. LANDRY DESTREHAN – Mary M. Landry, 67, a native and resident of New Sarpy, diedDec. 8. She was the wife of Guy J. Landry and mother of Gary, Glen andTrenell Landry. She was also the daughter of the late Alex and Clare Zeller Mollere and sister of Daniel and Wayne Mollere and the late Gloria Berteau and Alex and Huey Mollere. McMANUS LULING – Paul McManus, 79, a native of Franklin County, Miss., and resident ofLuling for 47 years, died Dec. 8. He was the husband of Bernadine FreemanMcManus and father of Judy Emery, Kathy Fisher and Paul McManus. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a mechanical specialist for Monsanto Chemical Co., served on theCouncil on Aging and was a member of the St. Charles Masonic Lodge No.445. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and also a deacon andemeritus deacon for First Baptist Church in Luling. Services were Dec. 11 at First Baptist Church, Luling, with interment atMidway Cemetery, Meadville, Miss. PEDEAUX EDGARD – Sybil Caire Pedeaux, 82, a resident of Edgard, died Dec. 9. She wasthe wife of Melvin J. Pedeaux Sr. and mother of Melvin Jr., Bryan and TimothyPedeaux. She was also the sister of Elouise Abadie, Vivian Berthelot, Sister Adele Caire, Sophie Grenier, Geraldine Farrell and Sister Laura Ann, Sister Margaret, Sidney Jr., E.J. II, Walton and Warren Caire.She is also survived by two grandchildren. She was a 1938 graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Music and was the organist and choir director of St. John the Baptist CatholicChurch for more than 40 years. Services were Dec. 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard. TRICHE LAPLACE – Edna T. Triche, 71, a native of Reserve and resident of LaPlacefor 36 years, died Dec. 8. She was the wife of Larry Triche and mother ofMichael and Sidney Triche. She was also the daughter of the late Anicet and Euphemie Trosclair and sister of Inez Gueret, Sidney Trosclair and the late Elvest Trosclair. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was also the daughter of the late Eugene and Lucille Young and sister of Geneva Smith, Victor Lumar and the late Lorenza Fiffie, Lucretia Jones and Otis, Adrian and Eugene Lumar Jr. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
