Suspect sought by St. Johnsheriff in Reserve shooting

RESERVE – The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for aman who was involved in a shooting in Reserve on Aug. 9. The shootingresulted in the wounding of a Reserve man.
According to Capt. Mike Tregre of the Sheriff’s Office, Juan McGee, 18, 200E. 13th St., Reserve, and an unknown black male got into an argument onEast 13th Street.
The suspect pulled out a handgun, shot McGee in the left leg above the knee and walked away.
McGee is in good condition with a cast on his leg.
The only information deputies have on the suspect is that his nickname may be “Tamichael” or “Tamaka.” He is between 17 and 20 years old andfrom Mississippi.
“We just need his correct name or location,” said Tregre. “We believe he ispossibly still in the area.”Tregre said anybody with any information on the shooting should call Det.
Sgt. Eddie Cooper at 652-7777 or the sheriff’s office at 652-9513.Tregre said people do not have to identify themselves when giving the information.
