DEAS METAIRIE – Roy Irving Deas, 93, a native of St. James Parish and residentof Metairie, died July 24. He was the husband of the late Hilda RousselDeas and father of Carolyn Songy, Patrick Deas and the late Baby Deas.

He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home,Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitationbegins at 8 a.m.

INGRAM NORCO – Caroline Ingram, 74, a native of Batesville, Miss., and resident ofNorco for 44 years, died July 14. She was the wife of Frank Ingram Sr. andmother of Jeannie Wooten and Mary, Martha, Frank Jr. and Marvin Ingram.She was also the sister of Maydora, Hattie Lee, Annie Lee, Isiah, Benjamin, James, Raymond and Osley Joiner Jr.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were July 22 at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, Norco, with interment at New Sarpy Cemetery.

LASSEIGNE GRAMERCY – Nicholas A. Lasseigne Jr., 62, a native and resident ofGramercy, died July 20. He was the husband of Annette Vicknair Lasseigneand father of Linda Robertson, Dana Johnson and Nicholas III and Arthur Lasseigne.

He was also the son of Mary Herbert Lasseigne and the late Nicholas Lasseigne Sr. and brother of Catherine Legendre, Joan Guidry and ErrolLasseigne.

He is also survived by five grandchildren.

He was a former Gramercy chief of police and a former deputy with the St.

James Parish Sheriff’s Office. He also founded Nick’s Gun Shop and was aformer employee of Kaiser Aluminum. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran,having served in Korea.

Services were July 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.

MILLET LAPLACE – Inez Hart Madere Millet, 72, a native and resident of Reserve, died July 23. She was the wife of the late Jules “Sonny” Millet Jr. andmother of Catherine Bakewell, Suzanne Klibert, Rachel Lehmann, Marcelle Bailey and Daniel Millet.

She was also the daughter of the late Daniel and Inez Hart Madere and sister of Danielle Boudreaux, D. Allynn Madere and the late Rose LynnAucoin.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She attended Southwestern Louisiana Institute and was an owner, treasurer and board member of Reserve Telephone Co..Services were July 25 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

NGUYEN KENNER – Luan Minh Nguyen, 43, a native of Cantho, Vietnam, and resident of St. Rose for the past four years, died July 22. He was the husband ofBichlien “Becky” Ton Nguyen and father of Brian and Kevin Nguyen.

He was also the son of Luc Nguyen and Lan Truong and brother of Dat and Trang Nguyen.

Services were July 25 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home,Kenner.

RAMAGOS WELSH – Sammy J. Ramagos, 79, a native of Donaldsonville and resident ofGaryville for the past six years, died July 22. He was the husband ofElizabeth “Betty” Hymel Ramagos by second marriage, the late Joyce Nolan Ramagos by first marriage and father of Jolyn Duhe Johnson and Robert and John Ramagos.

He was also the son of the late Emily and Sam Ramagos and brother of Aline Newberry, Howard Ramagos and the late Earl and Patchy Ramagos.

He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church,Welsh, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
