BRANDON BATON ROUGE – Joseph Brandon Sr., 75, a native of St. James and residentof Baton Rouge, died July 6. He was the husband of Sylvia May Brandon andfather of Delma Hooker and Joseph Jr. and Kelvin Brandon.He was also the brother of Beatrice Jones, Olevia Wilson and Authur Brandon Jr. He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and threesisters.
He is also survived by 42 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services were July 11 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, withinterment at Port Hudson National Cemetery.
BRIGNAC PAULINA – Carey “K-Boy” Brignac, 44, a native of Lutcher and resident of Grand Point, died July 7. He was the husband of Pamela Berger Brignac andfather of Tessi, Shelli and Aimee Brignac.
He was also the son of John Sr. and Enola Louque Brignac and brother ofJudy Songy, Bonnie Louque and J.E. Brignac Jr.He was a longtime employee of Brown & Root of Norco and a board member of the St. James Boat Club.Services were July 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church mausoleum.
CARAMBAT NORCO – Frances Roussell Carambat, 83, a native of Paulina and lifelong resident of Norco, died July 8. She was the wife of the late JulesCarambat and mother of Jewel Robin and Allen Carambat.
She was also the daughter of the late Ovide Sr. and Olymphe Roussell,sister of the late Iola Guidry, Myrtle Alleman, Eula Mae and Clarence “Dodo” Roussell, half-sister of Bernita Pollet, Ovide Roussell Jr. and thelate Allen Roussell and step-sister of Murphy Marchand.
She is also survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were July 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
COLLIER GRAMERCY – Geneva Kitt Collier, 87, a native of Paulina and resident of Gramercy, died July 3. She was the mother of Harold Collier.She was also the daughter of the late Victor Sr. and Carzeldia Lewis Kittand sister of the late Ethel Collins and Victor Kitt Jr.
She is also survived by two grandchildren.
Services were July 11 at Golden Grove Baptist Church, Gramercy, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.
FALGOUST MARRERO – Louis Joseph “Paw” Falgoust Sr., 65, a native of Vacherie andresident of Waggaman, died July 6. He was the husband of Dolores FolseFalgoust and father of Patricia Bettencourt and Anna, Louise, Tammy and Louis Falgoust Jr.
He was also the brother of Inez Sansoni, Sherman and Roy Falgoust and the late Enola Clement.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were July 10 in the chapel of Westside Funeral Home, Marrero, with interment at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.
GRIFFIN BOUTTE – Allen Griffin, 49, a native and resident of Boutte, died July 6. Hewas the husband of Linda Patterson Griffin and father of Kameki and Carmen and Michael Brown, Michelle Honor, Natyra and Ahyan Tyler and Patrick Washington.
He was also the son of Leona Griffin, brother of Janice Jones, Joyce Brown, Valerie Robertson, Patricia Johnson and Clarence Griffin Jr. andgrandson of Sarah Griffin.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and his grandmother Sarah Griffin.
Services were July 11 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Boutte, with intermentat the church cemetery.
JOSEPH MARRERO – Frank “Frankie J” Joseph Jr., 62, a native of Wallace andresident of Marrero for many years, died July 6. He was the father ofKimberly Duplessis, Lorraine Williams, Brian, Carl and Rodney Joseph and step-father of Zina Fobb and Percy White Jr.
He was also the son of Viola Scioneaux Joseph and the late Frank Joseph Jr. and brother of Laura Baranco, Frances DeGruy, Malcolm Joseph Sr. andthe late Boyle Jude and Lloyd Joseph.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church,Marrero, with interment at St. Phillip Catholic Cemetery, Vacherie.Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
MANSFIELD WINTER PARK, Fla. – John Joseph Mansfield, 71, a native of Rochester, N.Y.and a resident of Garyville for the past six years, died July 8. He was thehusband by first marriage of the late Margaret Piper Mansfield and by second marriage of the late Barbara Mansfield, father of Julene Pritchett, Gale Royster, C.A. “Jake” Mansfield and step-father of Dianne Forney,Debra Latimer, Carol Boyd, Cheryle Smith and William Mansfield.
He was also the brother of Arlene Morris and the late June Weathers.
He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Baldwin Aloma Chapel, Winter Park, Fla. at a dateand time to be announced.
RIZZUTO GRAMERCY – Gaspar Rizzuto, 90, a native of Belmont and longtime resident of Gramercy, died July 8. He was the husband of the late Ethel Rizzuto andfather of Wendy Alberes and Cindy Murry.
He was also the son of the late Mariano and Vita Rizzuto and brother of the late Batassono Rizzuto.
He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Hewas preceded in death by one great-grandchild.
Services were July 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
SCHEXNAYDRE DESTREHAN – Yvonne “Mama Shake” Schexnaydre, 77, a native of Norco and resident of Destrehan, died July 6. She was the wife of the late Daniel J.”Papa Shake” Schexnaydre Sr. and mother of Joanne Gauthe, Diane Rousseland Daniel Jr. and David Schexnaydre.She was also the daughter of the late William and Lizzie St. PierreRoussel and sister of Mary Ann Millet, Lewis and Ralph Roussel and the late Bernice Braud, Stelma Simoneaux and O’Leary and William Roussel.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Services were July 10 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan,with interment at the church mausoleum.
SHERWOOD MASON, TEXAS – Ann Hawkins Sherwood, 76, a native of Roan Mountain, Tenn., and resident of Hahnville for 35 years, died July 7. She was themother of Jane Hextall, Lori Dykes and Bill Sherwood.
She was also the sister of Flora Cannon.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Graveside services are July 13 at Wagram Cemetery, Mason, Texas.
SUMMERS KILLONA – Neomia Summers, 72, a resident of Hahnville, died July 6. Shewas the wife of the late Allen Summers and mother of Allen and Michael Dent, Ricky, Paul, J.L. and Alvin Summers and the late Triple JeanSummers.
She was also the daughter of the late Sedonia Jupiter and Isaac Dent and sister of Ernestine Showers, Celestine Bartley, Lena Stipe, Eugene Jupiter, Ernest Dent and the late Joseph, Vincent, Richard, James and Philip Dent.
She is also survived by a host of grandchildren.
Services were July 10 at Children of Israel Baptist Church, Killona, with interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Taft.
ZIMMER PAULINA – Edward J. Zimmer, 74, a native and resident of Lutcher, diedJuly 8. He was the husband of 50 years of Gertrude G. Zimmer and father ofDale “Zip,” Lane, Byron and Donnie Zimmer.
He was also the son of the late Robert and Gladys Boutte Zimmer, stepson of Agnes Roussel Zimmer and brother of Verlin Oubre, Merle Love and Judy Donellan.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Services were July 11 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church mausoleum.
