BRYANS BELLE ROSE – Raymond “Fender Bender” Bryans, 56, a native of St. Jamesand resident of Belle Rose, died May 31. He was the husband of Melba B.Bryans, father of Catina Claiborne, Stacy, Karen, Wanda, Raymond, Kirk and Bruce Scott, Kenneth Lang, Markeita and Michael Bryans and step-father of Michelle Calhoun and Bruce Benjamin.

He was also the brother of Ulysses Jones, Cecile Joshua, Helen Sterling and Ida Mae Jackson.

He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and six step-grandchildren. He ispreceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Services were July 7 at Greater Israel Baptist Church, Belle Rose, with interment at the church cemetery.

HICKS LAPLACE – Reynold Anthony Hicks Jr., 19, a native of LaPlace, died June 5.He was the son of Reynold Sr. and Romellin “Nellie” Hicks and the brotherof Ann Marie and Reyanna Hicks.

Memorial services were June 9 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace.

KLIBERT LAPLACE – Rueben J. “Bonnie” Klibert, 75, a native of Reserve and residentof LaPlace, died June 8. He was the husband of Mary Ann Triche and fatherof Karen Hillhouse and Reuben Jr., Richard, Wade, Timothy, Jamie andJeffery Klibert.

He was also the son of the late Raoul and Carmen Kliebert and brother of Shirley Nelson, Carmen Perilloux and Alura and Mark Klibert. He is alsosurvived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation starts at 8a.m.

MAHLER VACHERIE – Boyd Anthony Mahler, 38, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Vacherie, died June 7. He was the husband of Lola Mahler and father ofKandi, Cindi and Matthew Mahler.

He was also the son of Albert Sr. and Lucy Mahler and brother of MelanieOckmond, Sharon Bourque and Albert Mahler Jr. He is also survived by hismaternal grandmother, Antoinette Reulet.

He was a chemical operator at CF Industries with 20 years of service.

Services were June 9 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church mausoleum.

MULLINS LAPLACE – Rogelle Damonte Mullins, 62, a native of Metairie and resident of LaPlace, died June 6. She was the wife of the late Barney “Moon”Mullins, mother of Rogelle E. Mullins and Babette Marse and stepmother ofBarney Jr. and Owen Mullins. She was also the daughter of the late Rogers and Elsbeth Damonte.

She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were June 9 at St. John Presbyterian Church, LaPlace, withinterment at Gardens of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.

REUSTLE MERCHANTVILLE, N.J. – Helena M. Simon Reustle, 75, a native of Vacherieand resident of Pennsauken, N.J., died June 5. She was the wife of ErnstReustle and mother of Richard, Francis and Albert Reustle, Elaine Cahters, Cynthia Lesher and Carolyn Ruth.

She was also the sister of Vivian Granier, Enid Waguespack and Geraldine Caire.

She is survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were June 9 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Merchantville,N.J., with interment at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, N.J.

ROSATO NEW ORLEANS – Anna Mary Rosato, 95, a native of Killona and resident of Metairie, died June 1. She was the daughter of the late Vincent Rosato andVictoria Talivoc and sister of Matthew Rosato and the late Joseph, Wesley, Andrew and Jake Rosato.

Memorial services were June 9 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at St. Vincent DePaul No. 3Cemetery.

SUMLIN HAHNVILLE – Willie Sumlin Jr., 73, died June 2. He was the husband ofGloria Sumlin and father of Donald, Terry, Alice and Adrian Radcliff, Rosemary Harris, Warren Alonzo, Willie III, Nina, David, Darlene, Patrick and Sandra Sumlin and the late Barbara Radcliff.

He was also the son of the late Verdie and Willie Sumlin Sr. and brother ofEsther Ridgeway, Ethel Smith, Archie Sumlin and the late Jack Sumlin and Francis Harvey.

He is survived by 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Robottom Mortuary, Hahnville, withinterment at Providence Cemetery, Metairie.
