AUGUSTA LULING – Stafford “The Bird” Augusta, 60, a native and resident of Edgard, died May 14. He was the father of Daniel Parquet.He was also the brother of Earl Augusta and Wilhelmina Simmons.
He is also survived by two grandchildren.
Services were May 18 at New St. Peter Baptist Church, Edgard, withinterment at Young Cemetery.
CAYETTE ST. JAMES – Milton Cayette Sr., 89, a native and resident of St. James, diedMay 16. He was the husband of Frances Cayette and the father of Milton Jr.and Robert Cayette Sr., Sharon Lavigne and Claretta Cayette.He was also the brother of Clamonce Oubre.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, withinterment in the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 8 a.m.
COX LUTCHER – Chrisopher John Cox Sr., 68, a native of Reserve and resident ofLutcher, died May 15. He was the husband of Janice Cox and father of SusanLouque and Christopher Cox.
He was also the son of the late John and Ezilda Cox and brother of Henry, Jerry, Donald, John and the late Vernon Cox and Kathryn Louque.
He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were May 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withentombment at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
HOUSTON GONZALES – Dainelle Felicia Houston, 22, a native and resident of Convent, died May 14. She was the daughter of Geraldine and Ronald Houston andsister of Dexter Houston.
She was also the granddaughter of Lillian Carter.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Jeremiah Baptist Church, Darrow, withinterment in St. Michael Cemetery, Convent. Visitation begins at 10 a.m.
MITCHELL NEW ORLEANS – Mary Catalanotto Mitchell, 88, a native of St. James Parishand resident of New Orleans died May 16. She was the wife of the late CliftonMitchell and mother of Joy Larson, Margaret Mitchell, Mary Santa Maria and Barbara Nicholson.
She was also the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Catalanotto and sister of Peter, Anthony and the late Joseph and Marguerite Catalanotto.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were May 18 at Leitz-Egan Funeral Home Chapel, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.
ROBERTSON NEW ORLEANS – Fernandez “Buck” Robertson Sr., 72, a native of Good Hopeand a resident of Boutte, died May 12. He was the husband of EvelinaRobertson and father of Sandra Gair, Robin Posey, Gwendolyn Robertson, Denene Thomas, Frederick Taylor and Fernandez Jr., Donald, Larry and GaryRobertson.
He was also the son of the late Edward Sr. and Josephine Roberston andbrother of Irma LaGrange, Elnora Payne, Albertha Poydras, Edward Robertston Jr., Albert Robertson and the late Josephine Robertston andElizabeth Breaux.
He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at True Vine Baptist Church, Hahnville, withinterment at New Sarpy Cemetery. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m.
ROSS GONZALES – Lillian Kirkland Ross, 67, a native and resident of Paulina, died May 16. She was the mother of Janice Williams, Barbara Ross, GlandaSchexnayder, Leseley Smith Maureen Johnson, Joyce Turner and Robert and Ricky Ross.
She was also the sister of Robert Kirklin, Emeline Washington and Ernestine Williams.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, Paulina, withinterment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.
WEBRE LULING – Cecile Roussel Webre, 88, a native of Edgard and resident of Luling for the past 27 years, died May 17. She was the wife of the late Icar Webreand mother of Rosadel, Mary and Alfred Webre.
She was also the daughter of the late Lina and Benjamin Roussel Sr. andsister of the late Benjamin Roussel Jr.
She is also survived by one grandchild.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,Paradis. Visitation begins at 8 a.m.
