Andouille runners overcome cloudy skies, rain

LAPLACE – Cloudy skies and intermittent showers could not slow down the participants in the River Parishes Hospital 21st annual Andouille Run held last Sunday morning.

Zack Bordelon, a former cross country runner for St. Charles Catholic andTulane, placed first in the 5-mile run with a time of 28 minutes, 15 seconds. Rosanne Simons crossed the tape at 36:33 to win the femaledivision of the 5-mile.

Errol Gauff won the 2-mile run with a time of 12.09. Yoshiko Taylor, across country runner for East St. John, was the first female with a time of13.58.Five Mile Age Group Winners 14 and under 1.
