RSVP promoting children’s book drive through January

LULING — The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is holding a “MLK Day of Service,” children’s book drive through January to support childhood literacy.
“We are asking for donations of new or ‘gently’ used children’s books,” Director of RSVP Michelle Higgins said.
Donations can be dropped off at the RSVP office at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.
All donations will used to benefit local children.
The MLK book drive is sponsored by RSVP of the River Parishes and the RSVP Advisory Council.
