One feed store shooting suspect in custody

LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested one subject in connection with the armed robbery and homicide at LaPlace Feed.
A second subject wanted by the Sheriff’s Office is still at large.
Wednesday afternoon, Dracier Dewey, 22, of Homewood Place in Reserve, contacted St. John the Baptist Parish authorities and confessed his involvement in the armed robbery and homicide that took place on Tuesday afternoon.
Detectives arrested Dewey on a judicial court ordered arrest warrant and booked him with principal to armed robbery, principal to first-degree murder and principal to attempted first-degree murder. His bond was not set.
Based on findings during the investigation, detectives sought and obtained a judicial
court ordered arrest warrant for Charles Mcquarter III, 22, of Homewood Place in Reserve for his involvement in the armed robbery-homicide.
Mcquarter is wanted by St. John the Baptist Parish authorities for armed robbery, first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Detectives attempted on Wednesday night to locate Mcquarter to no avail, and he remains at large.
Mcquarter is considered armed and dangerous. He is 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. His hair is currently shorter than depicted in the picture.
