LAPLACE — Approximately, 10 residents recently graduated from the FastTrac Entrepreneurial Training Program offered through the St. John Business Training Center at the River Parish Community College in Reserve.
The 10-session program is designed especially for new business owners, business owners with less than two years in business or business owners that have been operating informally or part-time.
Upon completion of the program, participants leave with a completed business plan that can be used to access capital through business loans, grant funding, and other resources and technical assistance.
“Stay steadfast and active in your pursuit of success and utilize the tools, advice and lessons learned to do great work and provide great services,” Parish President Natalie Robottom said. “I have no doubt that you will build on your achievements as each of you, all 20 graduates, are primed for success.”
Each session includes facilitated activities and group discussions, guest speakers, networking, coaching sessions and action steps.
“We will continue to offer opportunities and resources to further advance the success of their businesses. Congrats again to our Spring 2017 Kauffman FastTrac graduates,” St. John Economic Development (ED) Director Jerry Jones said. “Please know our doors are always open and we look forward to continuing to participate in the growth and success of your businesses.”
Class participants were responsible for only $100 of the program fee.
A new FastTrac session will be held in the Fall.
