Dog park opening moved to June 24

LAPLACE — The dedication of the new dog park at the Highway 51 Park in LaPlace has been postponed to Saturday, June 24 because of anticipated inclement weather.
A ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m. Volunteers will be holding pet adoptions on site from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dogs and kittens will be available for adoption.
Jambalaya will be sold, as well.
All proceeds will go to Froggy’s Mission in loving memory of Julia Caroline “Froggy” Luna, who passed away on June 24, 2015.
