SCHEXNAYDER

Ruth “Sis” Satterlee Schexnayder died on Thursday, May 1, 2014.

She was the beloved wife of the late Adam “Schex” Schexnayder Jr.; mother of Suzanne Schexnayder, Connie Rutherford and Jeanette Brady (Curtis) and grandmother of Nicole DeBarbieris (Jason), Ralph Rutherford (Michelle), Brandon Marks, Amanda Gallo (Chad), Travis Marks(Beth), Sarah Brady.

She had nine great grandchildren and cherished friends Sandy Phillips and Nichelle Roberson and a faithful dog, Holly.

Ruth was the daughter of the late Marion and Blanche Delhommer Satterlee; sister of the late Marion Jr., Herbert and Roland Satterlee.

Ruth, 87, was a native and resident of LaPlace.

Visitation took place from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace. Mass followed at noon, and the burial took place in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.
