McComack: Chamber takes top Louisiana honor
Published 12:02 am Wednesday, October 12, 2016
We are very excited to announce that the River Region Chamber of Commerce was named 2016 Mid-Size Chamber of the Year at its annual state conference on Sept. 26, 2016.
Each year, applications are accepted by chambers in Louisiana to provide information and details on Community Development, Organizational Development and Leadership Development.
Submissions are submitted for review to multiple chambers out of state, around the U.S.
The categories of Small, Mid and Large are based on Dues Revenue. This is the second year RRCC has had the honor of being acknowledged in this category. The first time for RRCC to be awarded was 2012.
We are humbly honored for this achievement and are sincerely grateful to the members, Board and all volunteers for making this chamber the success that it is.
While there’s still a lot of growing that’s happening, we are also helping create a positive business climate for the River Region. We urge all members to spread the word via your website, etc. promoting your Chamber’s accomplishment.
A seminar session will be hosted Friday, and the topic is “Excel – Power Business Intelligence Seminar.”
This is for those struggling with managing and analyzing their data, from single sources or multiple sources. Learn how you can use Microsoft Excel’s Power tools to gain greater insight and make better business decisions.
This session is hosted by Postlethwaite & Netterville. Seating is limited to the first 25. Contact the Chamber at 985-359-9777 to register or get more info.
We are wrapping up the advertisements for the upcoming member directory and community profile! Thanks to the many businesses that have committed to greater exposure via an ad.
If you’re a business that’s not yet a member but wants to be included in the new member directory, contact us today to get in! We are offering a discount on new businesses that join between now and end of the year.
Contact the Chamber at 985-359-9777 for more information.
Also, if you’re a current member, are you using the new mobile member app? Contact Janine at the Chamber to find out how to get access. This is an added new benefit to help keep you connected with the who and what with your Chamber.
