Floyd John “Monk” Ordeneaux Jr. passed away due to a lengthy battle with cancer on July 20, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Monk was born on Dec. 27, 1950. He was a lifelong resident of Paulina.
Monk is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Charmaine Matherne Ordeneaux; son Kenneth John; son James Keith and his wife, Charlotte Robertson Ordeneaux; grandchildren Henry, Martha-Miller and Charlotte Ordeneaux; and mother Ruby Poche Ordeneaux.
He is also survived by his siblings, Karen Roussel (Laddie), Kate Ordeneaux, Peggy Richard (David), Jody Ordeneaux (Elizabeth) and Linda Calcagno (Craig); and brother-in-law Charles LeBoeuf.
He is also survived by a host of brothers- and sisters-in-law, and numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his three infant children, Kris Lynn, Mary Elizabeth and Floyd III; his father, Floyd John Ordeneau Sr.; and sister, Terri Ordeneaux LeBoeuf.
Monk remained a faithful and diligent servant of the Lord through a life of extraordinary challenges.
From his childhood to his last days, Monk was dedicated to serving his family, church, community, the United States Army and DuPont coworkers for 43 years.
He was loved by countless people and changed the lives of many.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 22 at the KC Home in Lutcher from 6 until 9 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 23 at the KC Home from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
