KENNER — Kenner Police Chief Michael J. Glaser said the female passenger sought in reference to the robbery of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in Kenner and the killing of Taylor Friloux, 21, of LaPlace was located and released.

Police announced this afternoon (July 5) that a 13-year-old female juvenile, accompanied by her parents, arrived Friday evening at the Kenner Police Department and admitted she was the female passenger inside the suspect vehicle when the robbery and stabbing occurred.

A release from Glaser said the investigation and interviews with the juvenile, witnesses and those involved in the planning and recruitment of the crime lead authorities to believe the juvenile did not have knowledge of the event prior to the crime’s commission.

Authorities said the juvenile was an unwilling participant and only learned what was going to occur once the perpetrators arrived at the location and announced to her they were robbing the store.

No charges have been filed against the juvenile.

Glaser urges anyone with additional information concerning this armed robbery and killing to call Kenner Police Detective Brad Ricke at 504-712-2214 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.

Glaser announced Friday afternoon that a fourth suspect had been arrested concerning the armed robbery that resulted in Friloux’s killing. Friloux was a shift manager at the restaurant who was stabbed at the store June 29 and later died at the hospital.

The fourth suspect arrested is identified as Ariana Yanni Runner, 22, of Reserve. Runner is charged with second degree murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, three counts of armed robbery and aggravated burglary.

From the investigation it was learned, according to Glaser, that Runner actively recruited suspects who committed the robbery at Raising Cane’s.

Earlier Friday morning a third suspect was arrested, identified as Gregory Donald Jr., 18, of Kenner. On Thursday, the St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office provided information concerning a suspect vehicle that was captured on a crime camera in St. John Parish, which resembled the suspect vehicle seen fleeing the Raising Cane’s on Williams Boulevard after the robbery.

That vehicle, a 2001 Toyota Highlander gold in color, was found to be registered to an address on Vouray Drive in Kenner.

Officers conducted surveillance in the area of Vouray Drive and initiated a traffic stop on said vehicle once it arrived in the area. Found occupying the vehicle was Donald, who admitted to driving the vehicle on the morning of June 29.

Donald agreed to accompany detectives to the Kenner Police Department Thursday.

Once at the Kenner Police Department, Donald initially confessed to utilizing and being the getaway driver of the Toyota Highlander during the commission of the armed robbery of Raising Cane’s and the murder of Taylor Friloux.

Upon confronting Donald concerning inconsistencies, he then confessed to being the second person who entered Raising Cane’s with Joshua Every to commit the armed robbery.

Donald told detectives he was initially recruited by a female to take part in “a lick” (slang for robbery) and participated in its planning. Donald advised that he was armed with a “box cutter” while Every was armed with a knife upon entering the Raising Cane’s.

After committing the robbery, Donald advised that Every “stabbed that girl.” Every even returned to the vehicle telling those who occupied the getaway vehicle that he thought “he killed that girl.”

Donald is charged with first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, criminal conspiracy to armed robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and three counts of armed robbery.

Kenner police said Donald was a previous employee of the Raising Cane’s.

The Toyota Highlander has been seized for the investigation.

Every, 23, of 168 River Oaks Drive in LaPlace is charged with first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, aggravated burglary, three counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Mark Crocklen Jr., 24, of 2500 Van Arpel Drive in LaPlace is charged with first degree murder, criminal conspiracy, and three counts armed robbery.
