HAMMOND — The Southern Sweethearts of Riverside Academy attended American All Star Camp at Southeastern Louisiana University in early June.

They performed a Home Routine Jazz Dance on night 1 in which they received a Superior Rating and were named Small Group Home Routine Champions. On the final day of camp, they performed a Pom routine in which they received a Superior Rating and were named Small Group 1st Runner Up.

They were also awarded Small Group Most Admired Team and Most Spirited. The Southern Sweethearts were also named Small Group Camp Champions.

The Sweethearts just recently held their Mini Camp, where more than 40 girls participated in a week of different dance, technique and team building exercise learning.

The mini campers will be performing at halftime of one of the football games this coming Fall. The Sweethearts are enjoying a small break before returning to Band Camp with the Marching Pride of Riverside in August.
