The 7th grade classes at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School recently visited Avery Island, where they explored the green houses where the peppers used to make Tabasco Hot Sauce are grown. They saw the barrels where the sauce is aged, then watched as large vats of Tabasco were bottled and labeled before they were packaged and sent to stores. The students also got a taste of the sauces in the restaurant on the island.
