Franklin “Tom” Bautsch

Franklin “Tom” Bautsch, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
He was born in Memphis, Tenn., raised in Kenner and was a resident of LaPlace for the past 36 years.
Bautsch was the beloved husband of the late Teresa F. Bautsch; father of Mary A. Ford, Debra A. Navarre, Jo A. Giarrusso, Tommie A. Bautsch and Teresa A. Merritt; son of the late Mary Ryan Bautsch and Joseph Bautsch Sr.; brother of the late Ethel Becnel, Joseph Bautsch Jr., Robert Bautsch, Howard Bautsch and Irene Clement; and grandfather of Rodger Jr., Cynthia, Thomas, James, Rachel, Rebecca, Renee, Carrie, Olivia, Jennifer, Eara, Graille and Ari.
He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one soon to be and many nieces and nephews.
Bautsch was retired form Delta Airlines, was a member of the Delta Pioneers, member of the Kenner Lions Club and enjoyed volunteering his time at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and Ascension of Our Lord Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 799 Fairway Drive in LaPlace on Tuesday, May 17 at noon.
Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Interment is in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
