Johnnie Lee Lipscomb died tragically in an accident on Friday, May 6, 2016.

He is survived by his soulmate and wife, Debbie Hollier; children Quinshondra Ingram and son-in-law, James, Johnnie Lipscomb Jr., U.S. Navy Seaman Tyler Hollier and Taylor Provensal; his beloved grandchildren Azyri and Ashton Ingram; mother Shirley Lipscomb; brothers and sisters James Lipscomb, Zachary Lipscomb, Crystal Merrill and Herbert Lipscomb; brothers and sisters-in-law Cliff and Glenda Turner, Eddie Collins and Peggy Hollier, Wayne Schilling and John Hollier; mother-in-law Ruth Hollier; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Joseph; his father Johnnie Holmes; and his father-in-law, Mayance Hollier.

Johnnie and Debbie lived in LaPlace for the last 15 years of their 22 years together.

Johnnie worked at Bayou Steel for the last 14 years, where he formed many close relationships with his co-workers.

Johnnie loved his family and enjoyed camping, fishing, 4 wheeling, anything Hi Tech and was a loyal Saints fan.

He was a friend to many and is loved by them all.

Johnnie and Debbie had many plans for the future with their children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and forever carried in their hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate Johnnie’s life will be held on Sunday, May 15 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at 181 West 5th St. in LaPlace, LA (across from John L. Ory School) with a repass to follow at the family’s home, 155 Madeline Ct. in LaPlace.
