LAPLACE — Entergy Louisiana has contributed $60,000 to the River Region Chamber of Commerce’s capital campaign fund, which will provide funding for the Chamber’s new building purchase and improvements.
The capital campaign kicked off in February 2015 with a goal of $450,000.
The Chamber’s new building, located at 390 Belle Terre Blvd. in LaPlace, projects a positive image to residents and visitors by reflecting the Chamber’s mission to “Grow, Strengthen and Unify” businesses in St. James, St. Charles and St. John Parishes.
The new facility also provides a central location for elected officials and business representatives to regularly visit the Chamber for presentations, advice and to share ideas.
Entergy Louisiana is recognized as a “Diamond contributor,” for its generous donation to support the future growth and prosperity of the River Region.
Currently, there are four diamond investors and the Chamber has $250,000 committed to its $450,000 goal.
