LAPLACE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office offers the Protecting Our Precious Seniors or POPS program.

Through POPS, officers are available to assist the community’s elderly residents and disabled adults in need. These officers make weekly visits to senior citizens or disabled adults in their homes.

They assess each POPS member’s overall condition, as well as his or her living conditions.

They also report any concerns members may have to the primary caregiver. If you or someone you know could benefit from POPS, please call 985-652-7058.
