- March 5, 1970: Robin Haydel, left, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Haydel of LaPlace, and Fritz Englade, public relations director for Riverlands National Bank, pose with the Angus steer that won the grand championship award at the 1970 St. John the Baptist Parish Livestock Show. Robin is a St. Joan of Arc 4-H Club member.
March 10, 1988: Head cook Marion Hymel hands a firefighter a plate of chicken andouille gumbo. The gumbo supper honored firefighters, school board members and central office staff members for their work fighting and meeting the problems that resulted from a fire that destroyed the Destrehan High School office.
