HAHNVILLE — A Hahnville High School teacher was arrested Thursday, charged with sexual battery and prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted Thursday by St. Charles Parish Public Schools to investigate an allegation of possible inappropriate behavior involving a teacher and student at Hahnville High.
Sheriff Greg Champagne said the investigation revealed an inappropriate relationship began in January between Jeremy Eusea, 30, of Paradis, and a 17 year-old student.
The interactions included inappropriate text messaging conversations occurring during and after school, as well inappropriate conversations and pictures, Champagne said.
Eusea is also charged with allegedly having inappropriate physical contact with a student.
Champagne said the case is under investigation.
“If anyone has information about this ongoing investigation, please contact Detective Holly Laurent at 985-783-1135 or 985-783-6807,” he said.
