J. B. Martin eighth grade student Xavier Gauff received third place honors in the ‘Share the Dream’ essay contest held by St. Charles Parish Government. Xavier’s work, ‘Long Live the Dream,’ summarizes his interpretation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. beliefs and how we, as a society, should and could be stronger individually and collectively. Xavier is pictured with principal Erin Granier as he receives the award sent to the school.
