Ravernel “Nell” Weaver Ayme, 97, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016.
She was a native of St. Rose and resided in Destrehan, Norco and LaPlace.
Ayme was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. “Totes” Ayme; loving mother of Gaye Ayme Brignac (the late Alton), Lynda Ayme Donaldson, Kevin W. Ayme (wife, Darlene) and the late Arthur J. “Joe” Ayme Jr.; and grandmother of Cindy Brignac Klibert (Ronnie), Jay Brignac (Patricia), Kerry Brignac (Jane), Ricky Brignac (Danette), Margaret Donaldson Bruzdzinski (Andy), Kay Donaldson Daniel (Chuck), Jill Donaldson (Jared Oertling), Monique Ayme Shah (Kavish) and A. J. Ayme (Melissa).
She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Francis and Tessie Richardson Weaver; brother Norman Weaver; and sisters Enola Weaver Crovetto (Alvin) and Effie Weaver Becnel (Herman).
Ayme was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in LaPlace. She was a great bridge player and cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4045 North St. in Baton Rouge.
