LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are looking for three teenagers in connection with the assault of two other teens this week.
St. John Sheriff Mike Tregre said two juvenile victims — a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female — were assaulted and robbed while walking on Evergreen Drive at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Sgt. Dane Clement, the suspects are described as black teenage males who were wearing dark-colored clothing.
“Both parties were walking towards each other,” Clement said.
“As soon as the two parties passed, the three subjects turned and pushed the girl down and grabbed the guy.”
One teenager pushed the female victim to the ground while another teenager grabbed the male victim. The third teenager reached in the male victim’s pocket and stole his cell phone.
Neither of the victims were injured in the attack, and the male’s cell phone was the only item stolen.
After the attack, the three male suspects fled on foot towards Greenwood Drive.
