RESERVE — A man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting was arrested Tuesday in Reserve, authorities said.
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said deputies arrested Dontae Roy, 34, of Baton Rouge on a fugitive warrant for principal to first-degree murder.
Tregre said local authorities were alerted to the suspect’s whereabouts through an anonymous tip.
Special Operations and Narcotics detectives initiated the search and located Roy at a residence in the 200 block of Chad B. Baker Street in Reserve.
“Deputies arrested Dontae Roy without incident and booked him on the fugitive warrant from Lafayette,” Tregre said.
