Air Force Airman Steven A. Hendricks recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio.

The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Hendricks is the son of Brenda Reylet of Vacherie and grandson of Arnold Dencausse of St. Amant. He is a 2013 graduate of St. Amant High School.
