Preparations for St. James Community Theater’s “Living Christmas Tree” are nearly complete as the cast and crew get ready for three performances December 4, 6 and 7 at Lutcher High School Auditorium. The Thursday and Saturday performances will start at 7:30 PM, while the Sunday matinee is set for 2:30 PM.
This year’s program will feature an adult chorus as well as a children’s choir. In addition to the traditional living nativity scene, Santa will be making a special appearance at all performances. Be sure to bring the youngsters and your camera as Santa will be available during intermission and at the end of the program for pictures in front of our “Bonfires on the Levee” set, specially painted for this production by scenic artist Melinda Waguespack.
The show is under the direction of Julie Boudreaux and the choral direction of Colby Chabaud. Tickets, which are $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, and $4 for children 12 and under, will be available at the door.
