Beginning with the July 18 edition, home-delivered subscribers to L’OBSERVATEUR will begin receiving their newspapers through the U.S. Postal service. The change in delivery will also include L’OBSERVATEUR’s Wednesday editions going forward from July 22.
“This switch will allow the staff at L’OBSERVATEUR to focus more on the newspaper’s mission of keeping the public informed while elevating the level of service to our subscribers,” L’OBSERVATEUR Publisher and Editor Stephen Hemelt said.
L’OBSERVATEUR is also standardizing subscription rates in St. John the Baptist Parish, so readers can enjoy the newspaper’s award-winning news coverage and the security of postal delivery at the same low price of $21.99 for six months or $36.28 a year.
Out-of-parish mail delivery prices will remain at their current levels.
“The staff at L’OBSERVATEUR is committed to continue offering residents of the River Parishes the best local newspaper possible,” Hemelt said. “We feel transitioning to postal delivery will help us maintain continuity of delivery and deliver the best newspaper possible in a timely manner.”
L’OBSERVATEUR and the staff at the newspaper are prepared for the change, but if you have any questions or would like some more information, call the newspaper office at 985-652-9545.
