RIVER REGION STUDENTS
EARN HINDS HONORS

RAYMOND, Miss. — Hinds Community College announced the Deans’ Scholars for the Spring 2015 semester, which included local students.

Deans’ Scholars are those students with a cumulative 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average. Honored students included Derion Savoie of LaPlace and Kelly Carlson of Destrehan.

As Mississippi’s largest community college, Hinds Community College is a comprehensive institution offering more than 170 academic, career and technical programs and six locations in central Mississippi.

VELLANKI EXCELS AT
The Fessenden School

BOSTON — Lutcher resident Venkat Vellanki earned Academic 1st Honors and Effort 1st Honors during The Fessenden School’s fourth ter.

Academic 1st Honor Roll means an A- average, with no grade below A-, and Effort 1st Honor Roll means an Excellent average, with no grade below Excellent.

Founded in 1903, The Fessenden School is an independent, day and junior boarding school enrolling 513 students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 9. It is set on a 41-acre campus near Boston.
