BOURG LAPLACE – Olga Agnes Bourg, 79, a native of Reserve and a resident of LaPlace for 17 years, died Nov. 13. She was the wife of Alfred P. Bourg andmother of Daniel Bourg.
She was also the daughter of Arthur and Agnes Verret Perilloux and sister of Gladys Badeaux and Leroy Perilloux and the late Joyce Weaver, Ethel Mae Lewis and Jules, Stanley, Burton and Arthur Perilloux Jr.
Services were held Nov. 16 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace.
DAVIS LAPLACE – Earline Davis died Nov. 7. She was the mother of Mary Ann,Tammy, Royal, Bianca, Travis and Troy Davis.
She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Wilson and sister of Mary Anderson, Victoria Wilson, Lubertha Lewis, Brenda Anderson and James Wilson.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 14 at Church of God in Christ, LaPlace, withinterment at Providence Resthaven Cemetery, LaPlace.
HARRIS NEW ORLEANS – Clem Harris Jr., 81, a native of St. James Parish and aresident of New Orleans, died Nov. 10. He was the father of Lora AllenAustin and step-father of Harry Sorrell.
He was also the brother of Walter Harris.
He is also survived by two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 16 at Israelite Baptist Church, New Orleans, withinterment at Providence Memorial Park.
HELTZ LAPLACE – Farrell “Red Bird” Heltz, 51, a native of Reserve and a resident of LaPlace for 21 years, died Nov. 14. He was the husband of Jeannie Heltzand father of Danielle Paciera and Darrell and Darren Heltz.
He was also the son of Esther Roussel and the late Harold Heltz and brother of Cynthia Scioneaux.
Services were held Nov. 17 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
JONES RESERVE – Daniel Jones, 74, a native of LaPlace and a resident of St. Rosefor 44 years, died Nov. 14. He was the father of Danette and Michael Jones.He was also the brother of Victoria Taylor.
He is also survived by three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Robottom Mortuary, Reserve,with interment at St. Rose Cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
KING RESERVE – Thealia Mae King, 57, a resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 8. Shewas the mother of Demetrius Craighead, Renell Manuel, Debra McQuatre, Carl, Patricia and Isaac King and the late Kerry King.
She was also the daughter of Beulah Mae King and the late Manuel King Sr.
and sister of Katherine Foster, Johnny Taylor, Thomas Foster III and David, Manuel Jr., Edward and Larry King.She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 16 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church, Reserve,with interment at the church cemetery.
LAICHE GARYVILLE – Lawrence Joseph “Squint” Laiche, 88, a native of Lutcher and a resident of Garyville for 48 years, died Nov. 14. He ws the husband of thelate Altheanne Borne Laiche and father of Faye Audiffred, Lynne Acosta and Edwin and Lawrence Laiche Jr.
He was also the son of the late Edwin and Eliska Pollet Laiche and brother of Beltha Bleakley and the late Velva Laiche.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild.
Services were held Nov. 17 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, withinterment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
LOPEZ CHALMETTE – Howard “Charlie” Lopez, 65, a native of Napoleonville, resident of Norco for 23 years and resident of Harahan for 40 years, died Nov. 15. He was the husband of Merline B. Lopez and father of Marcia, Guy,Marilyn, Tina, Brenda, Karen, Clarice and Vicki Lopez.
He was also the brother of Lorraine and Nicky Lopez.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
Services are today at noon at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Chalmette, with interment at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
MONTEGUT RESERVE – Harold L. Montegut, 86, a native of LaPlace and a resident ofReserve, died Nov. 14. He was the husband of Margaret Triche Montegut andfather of Harold “Monty” Jr., Richard, David, Randy and Jeffrey Montegut.He was also the brother of Carmen Stein, Claire Madere and the late Olga Rodrigue and Jeanne, James, Marcel and Sidney Montegut.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was St. John the Baptist Parish Clerk of Court for 32 years.Services were held Nov. 17 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.
SONGY DONALDSONVILLE – Claude George Songy Jr., 76, a native of EvergreenPlantation in St. John the Baptist Parish and a resident of Donaldsonville,died Nov. 15. He was the husband of Carolyn LeBlanc Songy and father ofNancy Toups and Lynne, Claude III, Donald and Randall Songy.
He was also the son of the late Claude Sr. and Fabiola Laurent Songy andbrother of Cleo DeGraauw, Elsie Morris, Enid Nielson, Toni Nethery, Kenneth, Msgr. Donald and Msgr. James Songy and the late Lois Landry andGerald Songy.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was a retired County Agent of Ascension Parish.
Services were held Nov. 17 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church,Donaldsonville.
