DESTREHAN – The St. Charles Parish Festival celebrated 40 years ofRadiance and Roses Saturday night at Destrehan High School.

Nicole Marie Trosclair, daughter of Ronnie and Joan Trosclair of Norco, was crowned the 1998 Miss St. Charles Parish Festival Queen. Shesucceeds 1997 Queen Michelle Faucheux.

Jennie Marie Aubert, daughter of Peter and Julia Aubert, was crowned Miss Teen St. Charles Parish Festival Queen. She succeeds 1997 queen RamiGaubert.

First runner-up to Miss Trosclair in the Miss St. Charles Parish FestivalQueen competition was Anne Marie Melancon, daughter of Dutch and Angela Melancon of Destrehan.

Second runner-up was Michelle Renee Boudreaux, daughter of Keith and Cindy Boudreaux of St. Rose. Boudreaux was also selected as MissSweetness and won the fashion award.

Third runner-up was Kimberly Ann Payne, daughter of Thomas and Sharon Payne of Norco.

Other contestants in the Miss St. Charles Parish Festival Queencompetition were Kelly Michelle McEntee, Iyanna Leslie Colly, Danielle Terese Sentilles, Rebecca Jane Smith, April Lynn Fabre, Renae Ann Marie Decker, Cheney Marie Landry, Kori Savage and April Leigh Fron.

Mandy Marie Schexnaydre, daughter of Bruce and Sally Schexnaydre of St.

Rose, was the first runner-up to Miss Aubert in the Miss Teen St. CharlesParish Festival Queen competition.

Candice Marie Denoux, daughter of Michael and Olivia Denoux of Norco, was the second runner-up. Third runner-up was Cherie Elizabeth Aucoin, thedaughter of Charles and Jean Aucoin of Destrehan.

Megan Marie Pickering, the daughter of Mike and Robin Pickering of Montz, was selected as Miss Sweetness. Telisha Ann Orgeron, daughter of Allenand Shelia Orgeron of Des Allemands, received the fashion award.

Other contestants in the Miss Teen St. Charles Parish Queen competitionwere Amanda Nicole Badeaux, Crystal Ann Courville, Stacy Marie Johnson, Lauren Marie Dobson, Stephanie Nicole Poche, Emily Marie Green, Jani Marie Stewart and Ashley Victoria Kalvert.
