ANDRY NEW ORLEANS – Evelyn Constance Andry, 76, a native of St. James Parishand a resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 7. She was the wife of the lateFrank Andry and mother of Helen Sanchez.
She was also the daughter of Agnes Joseph.
She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, NewOrleans, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9a.m.EVANS MARRERO – Corliss Lemieux Evans, 38, a native of Marrero and a resident of Luling, died Jan. 7. She was the wife of Louis Evans Jr. and mother ofLouis III, LaTanya and LaToya Evans.
She was also the daughter of Raymond and Essie Stewart Lemieux and sister of Dehon “Leo” Caillier and Raymond Lemieux Jr.
Services were held Jan. 11 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church,Marrero, with interment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor mausoleum, Westwego.
FIFFIE EDGARD – Lorenza “MaMa Daid” Fiffie, 95, a native of Edgard and a resident of Hahnville for 26 years, died Jan. 10. She was the wife of the late IrvinFiffie Sr. and mother of Ruby Byrd, Ella Franklin, Frances Bovie, SusieJoseph, Audrey Martin, Alvin Sr., Irvin Jr. and Roland Fiffie Sr. and the lateRuth Bovie and Clifton and Eva Fiffie.
She was also the daughter of the late Lucille Pierre and Eugene Lumar and sister of Semonia Young, Genevia Smith, Victor Lumar and the late Letisha Jones and Adrian Sr., Otis Sr. and Eugene Lumar.She is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.LANCASTER ST. ROSE – William Lancaster, 53, a native of New Orleans and a residentof St. Rose, died Jan. 8. He was the husband of Gail Mahaney HurstLancaster, father of Ada Morley and Carol, Laura and Joseph Lancaster and step-father of Janet and Eddie Bon.
He was also the brother of Susan Burgess.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of 30 years’ service.Services are today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, St. Rose, withinterment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
