AUSTIN TAFT – Velma Morris Austin, 76, a native of Hahnville and resident of Luling for six years, died Oct. 25. She was the wife of the late PerkinsAustin and mother of Barbara Dorsey.

She was also the daughter of the late Timothy and Rosabelle Morris and sister of the late Frank Morris.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 29 at New Union Baptist Church, Taft, withinterment at United Methodist Cemetery, Hahnville.

BOE LAPLACE – Amy B. Boe, 95, a native of Edgard and resident of Reserve for75 years, died Oct. 26. She was the wife of the late Horace Boe and motherof Abner, Earl, Melvin and the late Lloyd Haydel.

She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 28 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

BURRELL EDGARD – Bruno Burrell Sr., 83, a resident of Lucy, died Oct. 26. He was thehusband of the late Elnora Burrell, father of Marilyn Craig, Olivia Bynum, Leona Mae and Bruno Burrell Jr. and step-father of William W. Craig Jr.He was also the son of the late Susthene and Louisa Gauff Burrell and brother of the late Viola Williams, Leona Chandler, Henry Shaun and Susthene Jr., Morris, Guy and Virgie Burrell.He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

DUHON LAPLACE – Viola Louque Duhon, 94, a native of Grand Point and a resident of Reserve for 75 years, died Oct. 26. She was the wife of the late EddieDuhon and mother of Audrey Cambre, Mary Michel, Violet Berthelot, Alice Zeringue, Glenda Vedros and Ned and Eddie Duhon Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Adrian and Adorestine Louque and sister of the late Leticia St. Pierre, Amelia Bergeron, Augustine Roussel,Nellie Jacob and Leon, Ezidore, Alice, Clarence, Steve, Irby and Regina Louque.

She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 29 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.

HOTARD KENNER – Francis Allen Hotard Sr., 71, a native and resident of Norco, diedOct. 26. He was the husband of Marie Ann Acosta Hotard and father ofDiane Sudkamp, Vickie Schrader, Roxanne Roy, Betty Simoneaux, Tammy Murphy, Gloria Parent, Patricia Vicknair and Francis Hotard Jr.

He was also the brother of Dorothy Burks, Mary Ellen Holmes and Wencelaus “Norwood,” Richard “Dickie” and Warren “Bonnie” Hotard.

He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 28 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen and Son FuneralHome, Kenner, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

LeBLANC ST. AMANT – Grace Marie Becnel LeBlanc, 74, a native of Vacherie andresident of Gonzales, died Oct. 26. She was the wife of the late Lucien J.LeBlanc and mother of Betty Babin, Norma Stafford and Lloyd, Floyd “Flue” and Lucien “Dugin” LeBlanc.

She was also the daughter of the late Frank and Odelia Schexnayder Becnel and sister of Pauline Martinez, Irene Badeaux, Clarence “Blue” Becnel and the late Ella Mae and Marie Clara Becnel.

She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 28 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant,with interment at the church cemetery.

LeBLANC NEW ORLEANS – Stanley Emile LeBlanc, 84, a native of Destrehan and resident of New Orleans for 81 years, died Oct. 26. He was the husband ofJeannette Le Breton LeBlanc and father of Jeannette Hagardorn, Linda Waguespack, Mary Frances Boneno, Barbara Samrow, Fay Newfield, Elaine Wagener and James and Stanley LeBlanc Jr.

He was also the brother of Ione Fisher and Milton LeBlanc.

He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 28 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church,New Orleans, with interment at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.

LEMOINE EDGARD – Melvin Joseph Lemoine, 69, a native of Lucy and a resident of Lancaster S.C., died Oct. 22. He was the father of Lisa Driggers.He was also the son of the late Louis and Agnes Madere Lemoine and brother of Hilda Bordelon, Grace Hymel, Rosalie Waguespack and Roland, Ross, Stephen and Earl Lemoine.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 26 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church mausoleum.

PAGE MAGNOLIA, Miss. – Terry Wilson Page, 43, a native of McComb, Miss., and aresident of Killona, died Oct. 25. He was the husband of Lydia Sampey Pageand father of Tara, Toby and Todd Page.

He was also the son of Joe and Emma Lee Phelps Page and brother of Wayne, Mike, Danny and David Page.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 28 at Guiding Light Pentacostal Church, Magnolia,Miss., with interment at Kennedy Cemetery, Magnolia.

SCRAMUZZA KENNER – Frances Rollo Migliore Scramuzza, 90, a native of St. Rose and aresident of Kenner, died Oct. 26. She was the mother of Betty Gregoire and Sarah Scramuzza.

She was also the sister of the late Dora and Anne Palotta, Rosie and Mary Milioto and Johnny, Joe and Russell Rollo.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held Oct. 29 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Kenner, withinterment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
