LAPLACE – Sen. and Mrs. Ron Landry of LaPlace and Lynn E. Williams ofBaton Rouge announce the engagement of their daughter and step-daughter Dr. Katherine Lynne Williams to Thad Walther Devier of Ponchatoula. The groom is the son and step-son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Robertson ofPonchatoula and the late Dewitt Clinton Devier.

The couple will wed Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church inReserve with the Rev. Patrick Sander officiating the ceremony. Areception will follow in Destrehan.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree at University of New Orleans and received her medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

She is currently practicing obstetrics and gynecology at River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace.

The groom received his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Louisiana State University. He is currently president of DevierConstruction.
