RONWEG

NEW ORLEANS – Emma Boudreaux Gronweg, 91, a native of Union and resident of Metairie, died Feb. 17. She was the wife of the late Edgar Gronweg andmother of Mary Dugas, Suzanne Davis, Lynne Alphonso and the late Joan Billo.

She was also the sister of Olga Cospolich, Ursula Locasio and Lester Boudreaux Sr.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 21 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son FuneralHome, New Orleans, with private interment.

HELTZ

GRAMERCY – Richard J. Heltz, 73, a native of Paulina and resident of Lutcher,died Feb. 21. He was the husband of Willhemina Martin Heltz and father ofMona Laiche, Barry and Michael Heltz and the late Brian Heltz.

He was also the son of the late Oliver and Lillie C. Heltz and brother of thelate Adrian Heltz.

He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy,with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

LEWIS

HAHNVILLE – Lula Mae Lewis, 69, a resident of Hahnville, died Feb. 18. Shewas the wife of the late Isaac Lewis Sr. and mother of Charlie and IsaacLewis Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Emile Sr. and Louise Austin Richner andsister of Lois Rivera, Elizabeth Washington, Harry Austin Sr., Gladys, Percyand Emile Richner Jr. and the late Fred, Granner, Warren, Catherine, Perkins,Joseph and the Rev. Thomas Austin.She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 22 in the chapel of Robottom Mortuary, Hahnville,with interment at United Methodist Cemetery, Hahnville.

MELANCON

NEW ORLEANS – Elrie Joseph Melancon, 87, a native of Romeville and resident of New Orleans for 55 years, died Feb. 17. He was the husband of EllouiseLucas Melancon and father of James and Elrie Melancon Jr.

He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 19 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son FuneralHome, New Orleans, with interment at St. Roch Cemetery No. 2.

MULE’

NORCO – Concetta Portera Mule’, 95, a native of Hahnville and resident of Norco, died Feb. 20. She was the wife of the late Gaspar Mule’ and mother ofJosephine Hymel and the late Dr. James Mule’.She was also the daughter of the late Rosario and Mary Pizzuto Portera and sister of Rosa Butera, Marguerite and Anthony Portera and the late Josephine Windecker and Cosimo, Salvador and Rosario Portera.

She is also survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Feb. 22 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco,with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

NAQUIN

LULING – John Ray Naquin, 69, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Luling for 39 years, died Feb. 19. He was the husband of Betty Klibert Naquinand father of Jill Savoie, Charlene Chiasson and Darren Naquin.

He was also the son of the late Anthony and Beatrice Picou Naquin, step-son of Viola A. Naquin and brother of Viney Larousse, Ann Faulk and Lelia,Marsha, Lampton, Alvin, Larry, Rodney, Michael and the late Allen Naquin.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 22 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, withinterment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

PIERRE

EDGARD – Leotha Mae Jean Lewis Pierre, 59, a native and resident of Edgard, died Feb. 19. She was the wife of the late Arthur Pierre and step-mother ofMarva Williams.

She was also the daughter of the late Sherman and Leona Batiste Lewis, the sister of Carolyn Julien and half-sister of Cynthia Johnson and Deloris Barrow.

Services were held Feb. 22 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church mausoleum.

PIERRE

EDGARD – Sentelia Borne Pierre, 75, a native and resident of Edgard, died Feb. 16. She was the wife of the late Roscoe Pierre and mother of CarolCrawford, Armella Moreland and Bettina, Sarita, Ardina, Curtis, Duval, Errol, Marlon and the late Carlton, Darryl and Vincent Pierre.

She was also the daughter of the late Lawrence Sr. and Louvenia AugustBorne and sister of Ann Mae Hinton, Jumel and Curtis Borne and the late Lulabelle Keller and Lawrence Borne Jr.

She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 21 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church mausoleum.

ROBICHAUX

COVINGTON – Ronald Bernard Robichaux Sr., 71, a native of Vacherie andresident of Bogalusa for 12 years, died Feb. 18. He was the husband ofMarjorie Robinson Robichaux and father of Susan Lizotta, Carol Levatino and Ronald Robichaux Jr.

He was also the son of the late Florestan Sr. and Winnie Barre Robichaux andbrother of Winnie Bailey, Gloria Francis, Lee and Reggie Robichaux and the late Marie Mae Hummel.

He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 21 in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home,Covington, with interment at Barker-McManus Cemetery.

VICKNAIR

LUTCHER – Lodola Daigle “Dola” Vicknair, 74, a native of St. Amant andresident of Lutcher, died Feb. 19. She was the wife of the late LesterVicknair and mother of Charlene Tuminello and Denny, Byron and Kevin Vicknair.

She was also the daughter of the late Andrew and Alouisia Daigle and sister of Royce, George and William “Jack” Daigle. She was preceded in death by onesister and three brothers.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Feb. 21 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Chapel, Lutcher,with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.

WILLIAMS

RESERVE – Marjorie V. Williams, 78, a native and resident of Reserve, diedFeb. 16. She was the mother of Donna Sarvis and Jerry Williams.She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 19 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
