Dear Editor: All the residents of Pleasure Bend would like to thank the following people for their assistance during Tropical Storm Allison: Sheriff Wayne Jones, for allowing the trustys to come here and assist in filling and delivering sandbags. To our Parish President, Nickie Monica, for furnishing the food to feed the trustys. Also, to our Safety Director, Paul Oncale, for all of his assistance at this time. Aubrey Gravois, president of the Lafourche Basin Levee District, for the sand delivered to Pleasure Bend. Also, to the members of the St. John Westside Volunteer Fire Department, for their assistance in filling and delivering sandbags. To Junion and Sis Ponvelle, for allowing us the use of their property to store and fill sandbags. Again, we appreciate everything that people did at this time to help all the residents of Pleasure Bend.
