Charles and Diane Matthews of LaPlace and Jerry and Joyce Sipes of St. Paul, Ind. announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Jonathan P. Tassin and Jennifer D. Sipes. The couple plan to marry April 28 at Geneva United Methodist Church in Flat Rock, Ind. The prospective bridegroom graduated in 1995 from West Rowan High School in North Carolina and is attending Ivy League College, studying for an associate degree in architectual design. He is a pipefitter for Republic Refrigeration, Inc. The bride-elect graduated in 1993 from Waldron High School and attends Ivy Tech State College, studying for an associate degree in computer information systems. She is an account representative for Personnel Manager, Inc. After the wedding ceremony, the couple will reside in Decatur County, Ind.
