BOUDREAUX
METAIRIE – Lillian Urso Boudreaux, 78, a native of St. James and resident of Slidell for seven years, died Jan. 1. She was the mother of Janet Buras and Gerald, Thomas and Edward Boudreaux.
She was also the sister of Ruby Delatte.
She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 3 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Lake Lawn Park.
GORDON
LULING – Romelis “Nunny” Gordon Jr., 76, a native and resident of Luling, died Dec. 30. He was the husband of the late Cora Wright Gordon and father of Thomas Pierre.
He was also the son of the late Romelis and Alice Gordon and brother of Brenda Fuller, Eva Adams, Mathilda Singleton, Willie Mae Taylor and Francis, Amelia, Earl, Charles and the late Lawrence, Alma and August Gordon.
Services were Jan. 5 at Bell Baptist Church, Luling, with interment at Bethlehem Cemetery, Hahnville.
JOHNSON
NEW SARPY – Edward “Eddie Bo” “Cheeta” Johnson, 50, a native and resident of New Sarpy, died Dec. 29. He was the husband of Rose Stewart and father of Danielle Kenner, Odie Murphy, Shelia Martin, Theresa Davis, Augustine Melancon, Shedrick Kenner and Freddie Martin.
He was also the brother of Angela Davis and Terry, Roy, Charles, James and William Johnson Jr.
He is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 5 at House of Prayer Baptist Church, New Sarpy, with interment at Ashbury Cemetery, Clinton.
JOHNSON
VACHERIE – Gerald James Johnson Sr., 51, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Dec. 31. He was the husband of Phyllis Smith Johnson, father of Gerald Johnson Jr. and stepfather of Stevenson and Lance Champagne.
He was also the son of the late Lebora Melancon and brother of Debra Graham, Marvin Jasmin and Michael Williams.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a supervisor at St. James Youth Center.
Services are today at noon at First Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at St. Luke Baptist Cemetery, Moonshine. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
LANCASTER
DES ALLEMANDS – Willie “Bill” Reginald Lancaster, 74, a native of Pensacola, Fla., and resident of Paradis for 53 years, died Jan. 1. He was the husband of Mary Estay Lancaster and father of Linda Matherne and Terry Lancaster.
He was also the son of the late Samuel and Seresa Carver Lancaster and brother of Adeline Warehime, Lucille Richardson and the late Myra Colley, Hazel Loggins and Tracy Lancaster Sr.
He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 4 at Des Allemands Mennonite Church, with interment at Sunset Cemetery, Des Allemands.
LUMAR
EDGARD – Dolores “Momma Neet” Brooks Lumar, 75, a native and resident of Edgard, died Jan. 2. She was the wife of the late Fonaires Lumar Sr., and mother of Marie Gross, Carolyn Johnson and Walter, Betsy and the late Holly Paul and Fonaires Lumar Jr.
She was also the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Brooks and sister of Maria Simon, Gloria Johnson, Roger and George Brooks and the late Gertie Mitchell and Anna Lumar.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
McFALL
HARVEY – Anita Savois McFall, 70, a native of Algiers and resident of LaPlace for the past six years, died Jan. 1. She was the wife of the late Francis P. McFall and mother of JoAnn and Kathy McFall.
She was also the daughter of the late Elmo and Anita Daigle Savois.
Services were Jan. 4 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, with interment at McDonough Cemetery.
NELSON
KENNER – Bernice Oubre Nelson, 75, a native of New Orleans and resident of New Sarpy for 40 years, died Jan. 1. She was the wife of the late Vincent Nelson Sr. and mother of Vincent Jr., Brian, Bruce, Wendy, Stephanie and the late Craig Nelson.
She was also the daughter of the late Gilbert and Blanche Blanchard Oubre, and sister of Elizabeth Hebert and the late Clarabel Shepard and Gilbert Jr. and Arthur “Oscar” Oubre.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 4 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, Kenner, with interment at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
PRATER
METAIRIE – Dorothy Mae “Miss Dot” Stansbury Prater, 68, a native of Opelousas and resident of Norco for the past 22 years, died Dec. 28. She was the wife of Junior Levi Prater and mother of Laura Moody and Manuel, Gene, Richard and Zane Prater.
She was also the sister of Leroy Stansbury, Rosemary LeBlanc and Totsie Breaux. She is also surivived by eight grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 4 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, Metairie.
STEWART
HAHNVILLE – Oscar “Dickey” Stewart, 50, a native of Woodville, Miss., and resident of Luling, died Dec. 30. He was the husband of Sandra Gair Stewart and father of Senitra Taylor, Keesha Broussard, Dwan Motley and Shatiera Shepard and stepfather of Dana Gair.
He was also the son of Elizabeth Hans Stewart and the late George Stewart and brother of Cora Hollins, Lucy James, Geraldine Johnson, Richard Robinson and Majory, Sarah, Annie, Joseph, Sylvester, Audrey and Henry Stewart.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services are today at 1 p.m. at King Solomon Baptist Church, Woodville, Miss., with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m. at True Vine Baptist Church, Hahnville.
WALLACE
LUTCHER – Hazel Turner Wallace, 84, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Dec. 31. She was the wife of the late Royal Wallace Sr. and mother of Hazel Franklin, Osborne Sr. and Royal Wallace Jr.
She was also the daughter of the late William and Lorena Russell Turner and sister of John Turner and the late Clemontine Traveler and Ollie, Alvin Sr. and Ernest Turner Sr.
She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 4 at King Solomon Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Convent.
WASHINGTON
C0NVENT – Myrtle “Mike” Washington, 78, a resident of Convent, died Dec. 30. She was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Leontine Washington and sister of Shirley Melancon, Frank Jacque and the late Mitchell Washington Jr.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Convent, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
ZERINGUE
KENNER – Arialle Daeshon Zeringue, 7, a native of Metairie and resident of St. Rose, died Dec. 31. She was the daughter of Alvin Zeringue Jr. and Donna Turner and sister of Deshonara Turner, Denzel Jackson and Dashonara and Alvin Zeringue III.
She was also the grandchild of Brenda Turner, Leonard Woodward Jr., the Rev. and Mrs. Donald L. Turner Sr. and Carolyn and the late Alvin Zeringue Sr.
Services were Jan 5 at Sweet Home Christian Center, Kenner, with interment at Love and Charity Cemetery.
