A parenting workshop, “Children in the Middle,” for adults in separating families to focus on co-parenting, stress management and communication is from 5-7 p.m. at the St. John County Agents Office in Edgard. Low cost spay/neuter of cats and dogs of qualifying St. Charles Parish residents takes place at the St. Charles Animal Shelter (across from Westbank Bridge Park). Qualifying pet owners should arrive by 8 a.m. with pets restrained on a leash or in a carrier. Pets should not have food or water after 10 p.m. the night before surgery.
