CUNNINGHAM
PAULINA – Irvin C. “Peanut” Cunningham Jr., 68, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Aug. 7. He was the husband of 45 years of Yvonne Ordoyne Cunningham. He was the son of the late Irvin “Frog” Sr. and Sadie Cunningham, and brother of Mary Vicknair, Farell and Eugene Cunningham and the late June Cotton, Joyce Mayeaux and Carolyn Accardo. He was a retired captain with the St. James Parish Sheriffs Office, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, St. James Boat Club, Louisiana Sheriffs Association, Houma Indian Tribe, American Legion and Lions Club. Services were Aug. 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
FALGOUT
NORCO – Elaine Mary Donaldson Falgout, 72, a native of New Orleans, former resident of Good Hope and resident of Norco for 50 years, died Aug. 7. She was the wife of Coral Falgout Sr. and mother of Marion Anderson, Mona Brady, Donna Bailey, Coral Jr. and Randy Falgout. She was the daughter of the late Felix and Milda Hernandez Donaldson, and sister of Warren and Harold Donaldson, and the late Gladys Schexnayder, Roy Jr. and Gerald Donaldson Sr. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Norco Elementary School. Services were Aug. 10 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
INGRAM
LAPLACE – Doris McLain Ingram, 74, a native of Belzoni, Miss. and resident of LaPlace for 20 years, died Aug. 7. She was the wife of the late Jesse Ingram and the mother of Suzi Ourso, Gail Ewing and Douglas Ingram. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were Aug. 9 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
JOSEPH
RESERVE- Grace Joseph, 88, a native of Mt. Airy and resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 6. She was the wife of the late Eugene “Shoto” Joseph, and mother of Audrey Hills, Annette Mizell, Leroy and Reginald Joseph. She was the daughter of the late Comille and Sydonia Dupre, and sister of the late Floria Dupre. She is survived by nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services were Aug. 10 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
KELLER
PAULINA – Victor Keller, 62, a native of New Orleans and resident of Paulina for 28 years, died Aug. 6. He was the husband of Velma Keller and stepfather of Rose Louque, Tina and Sidney St. Pierre. He was the brother of Charles Durapall and stepbrother of Edmond Pecot. He is survived by one grandchild. Graveside services were Aug. 9 at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
MAGUIRE
LAPLACE – Veronica Robichaux Maguire, 58, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 6. She was the mother of Pamela Thiem, Christine Bossier, Patrice Labit, Janelle and Timothy Breaux. She was the daughter of J.L. Robichaux, and the late Ethelyn Madere Robichaux, and sister of Peggy McKinney, Robert, J.L. Jr. and Lynn Robichaux. She is survived by 10 grandchildren. Services were Aug. 10 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

CONVENT – Andrew “Noot” McKinley Sr., 72, a native of Convent and resident of Lutcher for two years, died Aug. 6. He was the husband of Karen Taylor and father of Dianne Adams, Lorraine Love, DeAndra Stewart, Asharria, Akyrria, Debra, Leshia, Lillian, Orelia, Andrew Jr., Larry, Randolph, Anthony, Carl, Lester and Dedricke McKinley, and stepfather of Ashantia Taylor. He was the son of the late Marshall and Mary McKinley, and brother of Lillian Melancon. He is survived by 40 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Services were Aug. 10 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Convent, with interment at St. Marys Cemetery, Union.
MELANCON
PAULINA – Christie Marie Melancon, 20, a native and resident of Paulina, died Aug. 6. She was the daughter of Don and Irene Boudreaux Melancon and sister of Michelle Lambert. She was the grandchild of Riley and Emily Boudreaux and Edith Hymel Melancon, and the late Walter “Buck” Melancon and Marietta Dicharry Boudreaux. She was a 1999 honor graduate of Lutcher High School and attended Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge. She was also a student worker at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Services were Aug. 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
MOORE
NORCO – Edwina Hall Hayes Moore, 81, a native and resident of Norco, died Aug. 5. She was the wife of the late Clarence Moore, and mother of Eloise Lobostrie, Marietta McCurry, Karen Harris, Donna, Michael and Clarence Moore, and the late William Hayes Jr. She was the daughter of the late Anne Rollins and Wheeler Hall, and sister of Wheeler Hall Jr. She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 17 geat-great-grandchildren. Services were held Aug. 9 at Good Hope Baptist Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan.

LAPLACE – Ethel Mae “Poon” Morris, 70, a resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 7. She was the mother of Rodney Evans Sr., JoAnn Morris Alexander and Raydell Morris Sr., and the late Kevin Gray. She was the daughter of the late Annie Williams and Leo Morris and the sister of Wilbert Morris, Junius Breaux, Martha Parquet and Audrey Mae Johnson, and the late John H. Lee Jr. She is survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services were Aug. 9 at Providence Baptist Church No. 1, LaPlace, with interment at Providence Resthaven Cemetery, LaPlace.

GARYVILLE – Celine Cambre Oubre, 93, a native and resident of Garyville, died Aug. 9. She was the wife of 67 years of the late Pierre Oubre Sr., and mother of Barbara Gausey, Amelia Matherne, Pierre Jr., John and Al Oubre, and Nobie Freeman. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Amelia Lasseigne Cambre, and sister of Pearl Duhon, and the late Beunice Laurent, Buell, Ernest Jr., Gerard and Wesley Cambre. She is survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Peter Mausoleum, Reserve. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
PERRET
NEW ORLEANS – Roger J. Perret, 76, a native of Edgard and resident of Metairie, died Aug. 4. He was the husband of Edna Pedeaux Perret and father of Marily Gastineau, Roger Jr., Kenneth and Ricky Perret. He was the brother of Lionel, Alvin, Louisell and Marion Perret, Margorie Amedee and Elaine Becnel. He is survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the owner of REP Inc. Commercial Refrigeration and A/C Company for 26 years and director of construction for A&P Food Stores for 29 years. Services are today at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of All Faiths Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
PRINCE
LULING – Katherine Theresa Prince, 81, a native of Harrisburg, Pa. and resident of Luling for 40 years, died Aug. 7. She was the mother of Mary Covan, Gilbert and John Prince. She is survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Private services were held.
TASSIN
NORCO – Melodia Cecile Hymel Tassin, 88, a native of St. James and resident of Norco for 70 years, died Aug. 8. She was the wife of the late George Henry Tassin Sr., and mother of Earline Lemoine, Melodia Milioto, Kathleen Valicenti, Janice Gourgues, Dolores Ledet, Randall Sr., George Jr., and the late Darryl Tassin Sr. She was the daughter of the late Honorat Sr. and Marguerite Becnel Hymel, and sister of Henry Hymel, and the late Emma Andreman, Maria Basset, Lelia Arceneaux, Rene Sr., Octave Sr., Honorat Jr. and Roland Hymel Sr. She is survived by 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Services are today at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan. Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m.
