LAPLACE – River Parishes Hospital recently named Hubert Robottom as its 2002 Nurse of the Year. He was presented with a plaque, a check for $300 from the hospital medical staff and a check for $300 to Beau Rivage from hospital administration. Robottom has been employed as an LPN at the hospital since 1991. He also serves as a CPR Instructor for the hospital. He is currently enrolled in a registered nurse program in order to further his education.

The Nurse of the Year is selected based on his or her nursing skills, support for the hospital and service to the community. The nominees were: Angela Patton, RN, Intensive Care Unit; Jennifer Ordoyne, RN, Medical/Surgical Unit; Paula Roussel, RN, Obstetrics; Michelle Zorn, RN, Nursery; and Tiffanie Bourgeois, RN, Surgery. Nominees received a $50 gift certificate.
