AMEDEE

GARYVILLE – Ronald J. Amedee, 63, a native and resident of Garyville, died Friday, June 21. He was the husband of Elise Haydel Amedee and the father of Remy Amedee, Kim A. Louque and Windy A. Hotard.

He was the son of the late James and Effie Amedee and the brother of Janice A. LeBouef, Sybil A. Pellisaier and the late James “Jimmy” Amedee Jr.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were June 24 at 1 p.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

LUCAS

ST. JAMES – Ashley Lucas, 17, a native of St. James and a resident of Vacherie, died Wednesday, June 19. She was the daughter of John and Clementine Weber Lucas and the sister of John Jr., Delancy, Jynell Andreanice Lucas, Karen Baptiste, Andrew Brooks, Kenneth, Kevin and Keith Simoneaux.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, and interment will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m.

SCHEXNAYDER

PAULINA – Eugenia Marie Kramer Schexnayder, 91, a resident of Lutcher, died Saturday, June 22. She was the wife of the late Willis Joseph Schexnayder and the mother of Elise S. Roussel, Willis Ann S. Williamson and the late Lonnie Evans Humphry.

She was the daughter of the late Hart and Philomine Urso Kramer.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were June 25 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
