BECNEL

PAULINA – Rita W. Becnel, 82, a resident of Paulina, died April 13. She was the wife of the late Joseph “Beck” Becnel and mother of Joycelyn Accardo, Rose McClung and Jerry, Richard and Charles Becnel.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were April 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.

BREAUX

DES ALLEMANDS – Wilfred Breaux, 79, a native of Kaplan and resident of Des Allemands, died April 13. He was the husband of Velma Matherne Breaux and father of Wilfred “Butsy,” Gregory “Moose,” Kerry “Brillo” and Frank “Davis” Breaux.

He was the son of the late Eraste and Felicia Bourque Breaux and brother of Ollie Curlee, Willie Mae Ogea, Winnie Manuel, Margorie Miller, Minnie Boudoin, Bertha Guillory and J.C. Breaux.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, with interment at the church mausoleum.

DORNIER

LUTCHER – Brenda K. Dornier, 55, a resident of Paulina, died April 13. She was the wife of 18 years of Gary Dornier and mother of Erica and Andre Dornier.

She was the sister of Shirley Thomas, Dianne Smart and Robert Havard.

Services were April 16 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.

DUHE

METAIRIE – Esther Margaret Vicknair Duhe, 78, a native of Garyville and resident of Metairie for 47 years, died April 10. She was the wife of the late Francis Leon Duhe Sr. and mother of Barbara James, Suzanne Athey, Glendora Ferman, Carol Olsen and Terry, Don, Francis Jr. and the late Pamela Duhe.

She was the daughter of the late Norbert and Eleonore Tregre Vicknair and sister of Lucille Decker and the late Vivian Monconduit, Thelma Dupre, Alice Cambre and Bentley and Ernest Vicknair.

She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Private services were held with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

LeGRAND

KENNER – Isaac J. “I.J.” LeGrand, 88, a native of Houma and resident of St. Rose for 32 years, died April 12. He was the son of the late Isaac and Agnes Aycock LeGrand and brother of the late Muriel Summers, Mignon Mehrtens, Minta Ramond and Dudley LeGrand.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and received the EAMETO Medal. He was a retiree from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Services were April 16 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, Kenner, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan.

PERILLOUX

LAPLACE – Wade M. Perilloux, 45, a native and resident of LaPlace, died April 13. He was the father of Derek Perilloux.

He was the son of Raymond Perilloux and the late Evelyn Perilloux, stepson of Tena G. Perilloux and brother of Ivy Phillips, Cynthia Blouin and Lisa and David Perilloux.

Services are today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

PETERSON

NEW ORLEANS – Rose Bosco Peterson, 100, a native of Convent and resident of New Orleans, died April 13. She was the wife of the late George Peterson.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lena Bosco and sister of the late Joseph and Charles Bosco.

She was a retired beauty salon operator.

Graveside services are today at 2 p.m. at Hope Mausoleum, New Orleans.

POCHE

MARRERO – Stanford P. Poche Sr., 61, a native of Wallace and resident of Paterson, N.J., died April 9. He was the husband of Deborah Stevens Poche and father of Lydia Maldonado and Sterling and Stanford Poche Jr.

He was the son of Orita Poche and the late Paul Poche Sr. and brother of Rita Richards, Nita Champagne, Dorothy Brantley, Sterling and Kerman Poche, Herman Johnson and the late Paul Poche Jr. and Melvin Johnson Sr.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was an insurance agent and broker for Prudential Financial Co.

Dismissal services are today at 10 a.m. at Davis Mortuary Service, Marrero, with interment at Fair Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.

RILEY

NEW ORLEANS – Mildred Becnel Riley, 88, a native of Reserve and resident of New Orleans for many years, died April 11. She was the mother of Amanda Kingston, Priscilla Bradley and Ronald Chiles and stepmother of Lillian Datermont and Martha Mouton.

She was the daughter of the late Blaney and Prisca Becnel and sister of the late Willieana, Hilda, Rita, Victorine and Edwin Becnel.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was a retired domestic worker.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Little Flower, New Orleans, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

WILLIAMS

LAKESHORE, Miss. – Shirley May Williams, 75, a native of Montz and resident of Lakeshore, Miss., for many years, died April 13. She was the wife of Elie J. “Buddy” Williams and mother of Jackie St. Romain, Judy Video and Joel St. Romain.

She was the sister of Marion Traub.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were April 16 at St. John Catholic Church, Lakeshore, Miss., with interment at Lakeshore Cemetery.

WRIGHT

AMA – Joyce M. Wright, 63, a native and resident of Ama, died April 11.

She was the wife of Richard Wright Jr. and mother of Shelita Bias, Carla Smith and Bridgette, Kerry and Richard Wright III.

She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Alma Domino Triche and sister of Lois Williams and Eldridge and Melvin Triche Jr.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were April 16 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Ama, with interment at Mt. Pilgrim Cemetery, Ama.
