BORDELON

NEW ORLEANS – Irene Chatelain Bordelon, 77, a native of Mansura and resident of LaPlace for 23 years, died Jan. 25. She was the wife of Marvin Bordelon and mother of Priscilla Bertucci, Butch and Gary Bordelon.

She was the daughter of the late Laura Roach and Marion Chatelain and sister of Betty Robinson and Robert Chatelain.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 27 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Garden of Memories.

BRIGNAC

METAIRIE – Florence Duhe Brignac, 75, a native of Reserve and resident of Kenner, died Jan. 24. She was the wife of the late Jessie Brignac and mother of Tavi Benjamin and John Jeffrey Brignac.

She was the daughter of the late Cyriaque and Florence Duhe and sister of Patricia Arceneaux and the late Carol Champagne and John Richard Duhe.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Reserve.

BROWN

NEW ORLEANS – Shirley Mae Brown, 75, a native of St. James and resident of New Orleans for many years, died Jan. 20. She was the mother of Deidrea Wilson, Walterine Thompson, Emily Clayton and Hannah Price and adopted mother of Johnny Green and Edward and Walter Ventress Jr.

She was the sister of Elouise Jones, Ruth Davis, Eunice Johnson, Valerie Bailey, Leah Callens, Yvonne Van Court and Wilfred Brown.

Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

HOWARD

HAHNVILLE – Arthur “Big June” Howard Jr., 49, a native and resident of Killona, died Jan. 16. He was the companion of Ceola Cannon Lumar, father of Ashley Howard and stepfather of Aaron Wilson Jr. and Dwayne and Jermaine Lumar.

He was the brother of Carrin Perry and Nathan, Clifford, Irvin, Arnold, Virgil, Eric and Daniel Howard and stepbrother of Earl Jasmin.

He is also survived by his grandmother, Viola Lucas Campbell.

Services were Jan. 25 at Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, Hahnville, with interment at Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte.

MASON

RESERVE – Louis Mason, 70, a native of Reserve and resident of Lutcher, died Jan. 18. He was the husband of Hattie Meredith Mason, father of Karen Banks, Pamela Lennix, Verenise Simoneaux and Kim Parquet, adopted father of Allen, Warren and TaShana Mason and foster-father of Nasha Wilson and Charles and James Jones.

He was the brother of Audrey Grover and Jo-Ann, Roland, Henry, Royal, Raymond, Michael, Alvin, Alexander, Peter Jr. and Adam Mason.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was a retired forklift operator with Filter-Media.

Services were Jan. 25 at Beechgrove Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

MITCHELL

PAULINA – Constance Vallery-Mitchell, 42, a native of Convent and resident of New Sarpy, died Jan. 23. She was the wife of Charles E. Mitchell and mother of Jevon Vallery.

She was the daughter of Jake Scott and Audrey Stewart and sister of Trinette, Janice, Sheilka, Cynthia, Rhea and Lance Vallery.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

She was a nursing student.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Paulina, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

ORDENEAUX

GRAMERCY – Hudson August “The Can Man” Ordeneaux, 74, a native of Gramercy and resident of Kenner, died Jan. 22. He was the husband of 46 years of Shirley Braud Ordeneaux and father of Odette Jennings, Adela Uli, Blanche Rico and Jason Ordeneaux.

He was the son of the late Andre and Adela Louque Ordeneaux and brother of Alice Ordeneaux.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the St. Jerome Knights of Columbus.

Services were Jan. 27 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary.

WEBB

NORCO – Arless Lee “Junior” Webb, 30, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 22. He was the son of Phyllis Stanley, stepson of David Stanley and brother of William Webb, Sean Stanley and Timothy Stinson Sr.

He was the companion of Nicole Goodwin.

Services were Jan. 27 at Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.

ZIMMERMAN

METAIRIE – Inez Brady Zimmerman, 81, a native of Hahnville and resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 25. She was the wife of the late Auguste Zimmerman Sr. and mother of Alyson DeFisher, A.B. Jr. and Dean Zimmerman Sr.

She was the daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Irene Baudouin Brady and sister of Fredonia Cless, Annabelle Knoblauch, Mary Zeller, Zola Duff and Albert, Urban, Henry and the late Warren and Ernest Brady Jr.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.
