Amy Elizabeth Garlett of Baton Rouge and Eddie Anthony Doming, Jr. of Lutcher will marry on May 15 in a ceremony at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Garlett of Austin, Texas. She graduated from Plano High School in Plano, Texas and received her undergraduate and masters degree from LSU. She is employed as a Social Worker at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center.

The bride-groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Melancon of Lutcher, and the late Eddie Doming, Sr. He is the grandson of Stella Roper of Paulina and the late Alfred Roper, Sr and the late Mr. and Mrs. Evan Doming. He is a graduate of Lutcher High School and is currently attending Our Lady of the Lake College. He is also employed at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
