LAPLACE – Another alleged kidnaping victim arrived recently at River Parishes Hospital, seeking help.

According to Capt. Michael Tregre, the 27-year-old Edgard woman said she had been at home asleep, when a man she knew banged on her window. When she confronted him outside, he picked her up and drove away with her in his truck.

Once across the Veterans Memorial Bridge, she made her escape at a traffic light and walked to the hospital, where she reported to the deputy on duty

The suspect has not yet been arrested, Tregre said.
