Recently Chief Faron J. Duhe (not pictured) assisted by firefighters pictured form left to right Timmie Mire, Jacques Montz and Randy Madere presented a Fire Extinguisher Awareness and Demonstration class for Nalco Ondeo Delivery Specialists, attending were, Chris Maclin, Arlin Wells, Alvin T. Norris, Robert Matherne, Brian Bordelon, Troy Rodrique, Derick Smith, Walter Letarde, Donald L. Arbuthnot, D. Paul Davis. Learning objectives on how to operate fire extinguishing agent works in each type, the recommended application technique to use. Also, they watched a film on “Fight or Flight” from NFPA. Chief Duhe’s message is clear “People should know, before they are confronted with a fire, how to use the equipment properly and how to evaluate the wisdom of using the equipment in all “Fight or Flight”situations. After the class, each driver participated in a hands-on demonstration with an extinguisher, putting out a Class “A” fire. All drivers were issued a certificated of completion.
